Servo already has N3 access (NHS Net) via our National Response Centre. Servo is able to interrogate servers remotely to enhance the remote support contract, we also supply software and critical server support. Servo is in a position to use its existing remote support infrastructure to: reduce downtime by solving any issues pro-actively; attending a call at ‘pre-failure’ stage; improve the number of fixes at 1st visit due to our ability to provide an in-depth technical vetting service.

Experience of working with Primary Care Trusts:

  • Economy of scale, reducing the number of suppliers
  • Reduced management time
  • Common reporting, marketing and expectations across the Practices
  • A single point of contact Service Desk which routes incidents to the appropriate service providers
  • Service engineers plus senior engineers and helpdesk administrators dedicated to contracts
  • Managed services across NHSnet (now N3)
  • Back-up success monitoring
  • Pro-active server alert monitoring and Anti Virus console management
  • Support for all approved applications in use in the environment

As a result of the economies of scale, Servo’s project capability is also used to assist in a number of concurrent technical projects:

  • Desktop and monitor technical refreshes that include data migration
  • Server migration from an NT platform to Windows Active Directory
  • Servo provides GP Practices with an enhanced quality service including:
  • Online inventory & incident tracking
  • Local management information
  • Data verification to meet the drive for paperless operations
