Central Government
Since inception, the number of partners has grown from the initial core of Scottish Executive, Scottish Court Services and Scottish Prisons to now include Communities Scotland, Crown Office and General Registers. The partners also include a number of relatively small Non Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs) who despite being independent from the core Service Desk, still enjoy the benefits of the global approach.

Between the collaborative partners there are offices in most towns in Scotland including the Islands together with sites in London and Brussels. The core service provision to the Authorities is break fix maintenance on all desktop systems including workstations, monitors, printers and scanners. Some of the partners also include server maintenance in the provision.

Servo has also provided a consultant to facilitate a workshop and training session for NASUWT’s IT team which covered Windows 2000, Active Directory and Group Policy Objects. A technical migration plan was produced to ensure the least disruption, and Servo’s consultant was present during the weekend migration to provide technical back-up where required. The migration was performed by NASUWT staff and, on their return to work, users were running a new network operating system.
