Servo has announced that it has been selected by Welcome Break as one of its strategic suppliers. Under the new contract Servo will maintain all IT hardware, including servers, PCs and EPOS terminals at Welcome Break’s 24 motorway sites, including the company’s head office network.
Due to the round the clock nature of Welcome Break’s business and the importance of its EPOS and other IT equipment, Servo works to a stringent service level agreement (SLA). Servo engineers are contracted to respond and fix the most urgent issues at Welcome Break within four hours of notification. To date, Servo has consistently met and exceeded the terms of this SLA.
Servo formerly provided a break/fix service for Welcome Break’s cabling and network infrastructure. David Willock, Head of IT at Welcome Break decided to expand this role following a review of key suppliers. Welcome Break shortlisted three companies and undertook site visits with each, obtaining customer references and discussing its requirements in detail before making its selection.
“IT is critical to the smooth running of our business. IT failures have a direct impact on our ability to serve our customers effectively and Servo came out head and shoulders above the other companies in terms of its ability to meet our requirements,” said David Willock.
Mark Howarth, Associate Director, Servo said, “We are delighted to have been selected as Welcome Break’s strategic supplier of IT services. This plays directly to our strengths as a provider of services to the retail sector where getting systems such as electronic points of sale up and running within the shortest possible time has a direct impact on customer service and the bottom line.”
