10th July 2007 - Servo has today launched Servo4smallbusiness, a specialist business initiative focussed on providing IT solutions to companies with 5 or more employees in and around Manchester and the North West. The dedicated team provides the essential skills in designing, supplying and supporting IT services that are critical to the growth and success of any small business. Servo4smallbusiness simplifies IT for customers, making sure they aren’t wasting hours fixing IT problems, wasting resources on non-business activity and allowing them to concentrate on growing their own business leaving the management of IT to the experts.
Paul Russell of Servo4smallbusiness comments: “The owners of small businesses want to run their business, not an IT department. They need a reliable, local and proficient partner that understands their business and will simply make technology work for them, with the least possible hassle and cost. That is what we have designed Servo4smallbusiness to deliver, offering a modular service based on a monthly price per user, making it affordable and cost predictable – something a lot of small businesses tell us is very difficult to achieve.”
The Servo4smallbusiness portfolio consists of a Support and Infrastructure layer, managing servers, desktops, back-up, remote management and security, an offsite secure and resilient hosting service, providing mobile working for customers’ sales people with a managed telephone service, customer relationship and collaboration management. The service is configurable to give customers exactly what they need and allows them to add new services as their business grows and requires more from IT.
In June 2007 Microsoft announced an increased focus on small business and said it was working with chambers of commerce, development agencies and regional IT bodies to make sure that small businesses got the support they required. Around 40% of Servo’s current client base already falls within the small business category so the company’s experience and ability is both proven and tested. As business reliance on technology increases, the demand for expert small business IT services is on the increase.
Servo4smallbusiness already has active partnerships with Microsoft, Cisco, BT, HP and others to ensure that its customers have access to the right technologies to help them grow.
Russell adds: “At Servo4smallbusiness we apply business methodology to manage technology for our customers, whilst applying real world experience of the plight of small businesses in aggressive economic climates. We optimise the service to meet the needs of the small business by focussing on what success looks like to the owner of the business before we start designing the service. This means we can ensure value for money for our customers. Our vision is that Servo4smallbusiness will become one of the leading providers of IT solutions in the North West, by leveraging our extensive capabilities across the Phoenix IT Service Group and our strong relationships with key partners.”
