On 9th May 2007 the independent directors of ICM Computer Group plc announced their recommendation to accept the Phoenix offer to acquire ICM.

I am pleased to be able to confirm that over 97% of ICM shareholders have so far accepted the offer and it has now been declared unconditional in all respects.  Phoenix shareholders have also overwhelmingly approved the acquisition.

ICM is a successful UK IT services based organisation with core skills in managed services, data centre services, business continuity and disaster recovery with a large and varied customer base. The acquisition is great news as it will take the Phoenix IT Group, which Servo is part of, to more than 2,400 staff delivering over £230m of managed IT services and solutions to an extensive range of partners and end-user organisations.

Phoenix and ICM have a clear strategic fit and real synergies as both companies are engaged primarily in the provision of IT services. ICM’s extensive skills and resources both complement and expand those of the Phoenix IT Group and this will be of real benefit to customers looking for a broader range of services, capabilities and technical skills from a single supplier.

In particular ICM will significantly strengthen the Group's existing offerings in business continuity and disaster recovery and the provision of IT services to the end user market. The addition of ICM will provide new capabilities to the range of managed IT services Servo will be able to offer you, particularly in data centre hosting, technical service desks, remote management and network services.
